Quick pork stir-fry
Ingredients
Pork strips
Fine green beans
Carrots – julienned
Red and yellow ball peppers sliced
Crushed garlic
Cubed ginger
Soy sauce
Canola oil
Brown the pork in the oil add all ths ingredients one at a time tossing your pan at every addition.
Also I was a little naughty. I didn’t have any Chinese greens to go with the fry and I added butter lettuce. Lol it worked like a charm.
Mmmmmm – lip smacking!!!

Something Fishy
I’m not really a fish lover but give me prawns, calamari heads and calamari, you will have me licking my fingers. Simba on the other hand appreciates his fish be it Tilapia, Mazitye, bakayawo you name it. As a result i have learnt to incorporate fish into our menu. Yeah thats how much I love my boo. For you Simba I will learn to love fish….. lol
Valentine’s Day….. To be or Not to be
The shops are abuzz everyone is excited, the florists and chocolatiers are smiling all the way to the bank and is it just my imagination or is everyone wearing red black and white? It’s that time of the year when we celebrate this thing called Valentine’s Day. Now I am not going to go on and on about how the day is just another money making scam and how we shouldn’t have only one day to celebrate love and so on and so forth, but year after year when the month of February befalls us, hubby and I always find ourselves repeating the same conversation. It’s always Simba who is the first to ask me, “but do we believe in Valentine’s Day?” Needless to say that year on year we always find ourselves doing something in honour of the day whether it is getting each other presents or cooking a special meal. Don’t ask me if we do it because we secretly believe in Valentine’s Day or it’s another day I can score a present from my husband OR have we just all fallen into the bandwagon of these money-makers who make us believe in the day.
So I don’t have the answer to the question I am asked on an annual basis but I know I love having a good meal on the day be it from my favourite restaurant or from my kitchen I can safely say I believe in a great meal on Valentine’s Day – oh and lot’s of booze. Now that’s a tradition I am going to keep and believe in
Our first visit to the zoo
We had always wanted to visit the zoo at some point we actually got to the gate but turned back – our excuse – “it’s too expensive” but today we finally did it. We have a million pictures to share some of the animals scared us, some we fell in love with and other’s we felt sorry for. Animals should not be caged but then again had it not been for the zoo we would never have seen a panther, white lion and ofcourse a serval cat – Tinashe and baba’s totem.

Lifestyle Change
Six months ago i was laughing at a friend as she was talking about lifestyle change and eating right. Who would have known that i would have been giving the same talk today. So here is how it goes from today onwards i shall eat right, exercise more and looking like a yummy mummy in no time at all.
It wont be easy but imma do it, im scared but like they say starting is the hard part. I will start TODAY with a jog and whip up a good stir fry to mark day 1. #wishmeluck
